Bryn Eyre Vision

Town Development Makes Sense for the Borough, County And State.

Pennsylvania’s natural landscape of farm and forestlands is one of its most precious assets. Yet we are consuming undeveloped land at a rate of 9 acres every hour. Building Bryn Eyre helps to fight this trend by creating a strong healthy community that uses land and finite resources wisely.

  • We will renew land once used for mining and preserve its most valuable natural assets while focusing new development within Berks County’s largest targeted growth area.
  • We will house more people on less land thus limiting sprawl and taking development pressure off surrounding communities.
  • Our close-knit town design will reduce the cost of providing infrastructure (roads and utilities) and delivering services (police and fire).
  • We will create a positive fiscal impact for the borough, county and school district.

We are listening carefully to what the Borough and the County envision for the future of Bryn Eyre and we are building it.

Berks County’s Vision 2020 calls for development in New Morgan Borough – a designated growth area. Bryn Eyre will fulfill Berks County’s vision of a town that will:

  1. Mix Land Uses: Bryn Eyre will include homes, stores, office space and parks. The community will afford its residents the opportunity to live-shop-work-play within its borders.
  2. Take Advantage of Compact Building Design: An attractive feature of Pennsylvania’s towns is the opportunity to live in proximity to your neighbors in homes designed to meet your needs without excessive square footage and outsized lawns.
  3. Create a Range of Housing Opportunities: We will provide real choices that have been absent from the state’s housing market by crafting a variety of rental and for sale home options that meet the needs of singles, empty nesters and families who seek a small town lifestyle.
  4. Create Walkable Neighborhoods: In Bryn Eyre every street will be lined with pedestrian sidewalks and a network of walking and biking trails will wind its way throughout the community.
  5. Foster Distinctive Communities with a Strong Sense of Place and Vitality: Unique neighborhoods planned around a distinctive town center featuring shops, offices, and residences will combine in Bryn Eyre to provide a clear sense of place.
  6. Preserve Farmland, Open Space, and Environmentally Sensitive Areas: Of the 3,200 acres in Bryn Eyre, 1,000 acres will be permanently preserved as green space.
